Tips, Tricks, & Tools
Through the years everyone picks up some pointers, tips and tricks about their craft and here are some ideas picked up along the way shared in the hopes of helping new designers, webmasters, and others wanting to get started on the web with their projects.
A designer needs to have a good understanding of how webpages are constructed, knowledge of technologies such as HTML and CSS, as well as graphics generation and manipulation, to be able to lay out the visual aspect of web pages for visitors of a web site.
A webmaster must have a very good understanding of, and knowledge gained from working with, quite a few programming languages and technologies like JavaScripting, CMS's, database usage, PHP, ASP, (or whichever flavors you prefer for development) server administration, and web site maintenance, as well as a designer's skills, tools, and technologies.
To put it simply, a webmaster is anyone who actively publishes material and content to the world wide web through the use of a registered Domain name and serving the requested documents for the Domain name through the use of a server permanently connected to the world wide web.
